Manual Handling (2 days)
Manual handling - patients This 2 day course is aimed at individuals involved in the care profession who are required to carry out activities which involve the moving and handling of people. The initial part of the course involves learning manual handling principles. The second part of the course involves learning and practicing safer patient handling techniques specific to people.
This is a summary of the training and includes the following:
NB. This course is only available in-house and relevant hoists must be available for practical sessions to take place. This course contributes to the underpinning knowledge for the NVQ competence but may not necessarily cover the entire range statements. Assessment: is by continuous assessment by course trainer. Certificate of attendance is awarded at the end of the course.
Course Fees = £675 per group -- £70 per person
