Practical exercises are backed up by videos and it is important that candidates participate actively if they are to generate the confidence that the course is designed to impart.
Before commencing training, all students are required to have proof of a current HSE approved First Aid at Work certificate.
There will be an initial assessment of basic life support before training commences.
Handouts will be provided but students may need to take notes. as the course goes into medical terminology, and has important theoretical input, a good understanding of English is essential.
The practical aspects of this course can be physically demanding and students should be free of any condition that would affect their capacity to participate.
